This home made mat is made from high quality synthetic turf specifically made for turf baseball and softball diamonds. This mat is geared towards any player looking to hit all winter then outside in spring if wanted. Boxes are a little less than 5 x 3 feet so geared more for like a 12u softball or baseball player but I’ve had college players by the smaller mats from me. It’s perfect for protecting your Home Plate Area From Being Dug out every practice and When wet you can safely take batting practice, it’s Lightweight and Easy To Move but at the same time heavy enough to not move on a concrete floor. With outside I do recommend steaks in all four corners or something like the spikes you use to put landscape paper down. I do recommend sneakers to add longevity but you can also use cleats. (Never metal cleats) Also when the mat fibers begin to roll over because that’s all that will happen after use, you only need a broom to maintain. The mat has about 2 1/2 inch fibers and is exactly the type of turf used on baseball and softball fields.
