The Vaughn Velocity VX1 Pro Carbon Goalie Pants are for the elite level goalie who wants a lightweight pant that offers good protection. Using a nylon external construction wrapped around HD foam padding with Vaughn’s Pure Carbon reinforcement in key areas providing superior impact resistance. The VX1 Pro Carbon pant uses an Aero-Spacer mesh lining giving goalies a lightweight, comfortable lining with superior ventilation. A flared waist allows for goalies to wear their chest protector tucked or untucked while a more anatomical, tapered fit through the thigh gives better mobility while not sacrificing coverage. The VX1 Pro Carbon pant features a wider hip and groin offering more room for a bigger double cup style jock. Molded hip padding with inner cushion pads increase the hip protection while offering improved comfort. The groin uses a large flexible segmented pad that provides good protection while offering unmatched flexibility. A dual belt system gives goalies the option to use the padded internal belt to tighten the pants down to the hips while the external belt is used to set the height at which the pants sit. Finally, Vaughn uses their classic Thigh Cradle Technology to aid in thigh stability.

Virtually flawless cosmetically with one exception I had to hunt down.  On the inside of one vent hole is a super small chip. It is pictured in the last photo.

No other chips /scratches/puck marks, etc.  See pics.

The finish is like glass.

The shell is built with a fiberglass base, but it features Kevlar in the forehead and chin. Bauer features an new "vibration dampening tape" inside the shell this year which is meant to lessen vibration within the shell during impacts. The foam is is constructed of three VN foam layers, with comfort foam added in pressure zones.

Mechanically attached liner.  

(Liner is not glued in and can easily be removed and reinstalled for cleaning/painting, etc.  It isn't the standard tan rubber lining and is extremely comfortable)

These pants came as part of a set that I bought.

Seriously solid protection, the padding is amazing.

45 Inch Waist, belt can be clinched up pretty well and I will include the suspenders that came with them if you like but that are pretty worn and discolored.  But they do the job...

The pics and description were not detailed on the pants, and it turns out they are far too large for me.

Custom Red and Green trim, but could easily be dyed or covered with Padskins or similar.

The limited puck marks really jump out in the photos, but the condition is very good and I do not believe these pants were used much.

So a few things: These are in great shape. Bought both new, used enough to break them in, but basically perfect broke in. Not floppy at all. The glove is a Catalyst 7x3 590 break. I like it much more than the 7x4. All straps and seams are in flawless condition.

The colors. Stupid me was told that sharpie would color them in perfectly to match my leg pads. Well, it looked good for about 14 minutes. I can try scrubbing it off if someone wants, or let it roll as is. The black on the blocker is real.
